Tiger in the window at Toraya in J-town SF. We're eating at this new Korean place, Doobu. This is pretty daring, as it happens, as three people got shot at the hostess bar down the street last night.
Update: Some background on the shooting. The alleged shooter sounds like bad news all around. This is mildly upsetting because while I've never been to The Flow, I used to hang out in and around Peace Park quite a lot on the weekends.

Fleet Week.
Last weekend was Fleet Week. This year I didn't experience any of it, except the jet flyovers, but this morning on my way out I saw these two ships moored by the Brannan Street Muni station. (You can just barely make out the second one, across the bay.) I'm not sure, but I think LH is a designation for Marine helicopter carriers.
Relic.
I just saw this ancient truck with a wooden "camper top" and some kind of grinding wheel in the back. I wonder what the story is. I bet it's a time machine, disguised.
