Ed on G4TV.
My brother Ed will be on G4TV -- he was a judge at a Formula D drifting event in New Jersey last month, and you can watch him preside tomorrow, May 11 at 6PM Eastern or 3PM Pacific. Here's the rest of the schedule -- it's part of the rather massive G4TV Formula D website.
If you look closely you can see that Ed's judging the racers with a WiFi-enabled PDA, which is hooked to an overall scoring system that totals all the judges' scores in realtime, from several locations around the track. Nerdical!
Popping in the Rain.
By now you've probably seen the GTI commercial featuring a digitally-remixed Gene Kelly poppin', lockin', and generally body-rockin'. I for one can't stop watching/listening to it. For me, it's this weird combination of sentimentality on several levels, plus technology-enabled irony, that I find irresistible.
Anyway, here's how it was made, and who did the dancing.
