A9 visual map search.

Amazon's A9 unit has paired GPS, digital photography and a map engine, to provide pictures of neighborhood search results for their Yellow Pages product. Here, I've searched for burritos in my neighborhood.

The best thing about this is that you can "walk" up and down the street and discover things. I found a Vietnamese sandwich place I didn't know about before. Also, there are people in the photos.

this lousy morning.

Mr. Incredible used the much rarer second form of the term "lousy." as in, "This website is lousy with bellydancers!"

i then mentioned that head lice require a round hair follicle to hang onto, in order to lay eggs, and that's why people with curly hair don't get lice. (hair curls because it's flatter in cross-section. i think it's got to be really curly. okay, basically you have to be Black. there, i said it.)

Mr. Incredible, after looking up the topic at WikiPedia: "...did you know you can electrocute [the lice] with a high-voltage comb?"
